Two people were involved in a single car accident on U.S. 131 in Cadillac on Saturday. There were two people in the car and both of them were injured in the accident. A 17-year-old girl was a passenger in the car and needed to be airlifted to a hospital in Traverse City. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

Deputies form the Wexford County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to southbound U.S. 131 near exit 186 when a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old male suddenly lost control and skidded into the median and then rolled over several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The police are still investigating the accident. They do not believe that drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
